Who we are

The Dudley Caribbean and Friends Association (DCFA) is a registered charity founded in the early 1980s to support African Caribbean community in Dudley. While it remains rooted in this mission, DCFA has grown to provide services for the wider community, such as adult training through Impact Training which helps individuals access employment and new career opportunities. DCFA also provides culturally sensitive services for over 65s through Befriending Services.

DCFA is inclusive to all and endeavor to support the Dudley community with specific focus on:
-Lone Parents/Women Returners to Work
-Unemployment 
-Economic Inactivity
-Elderly
-In-work support
-Digital Exclusion

Our mission is to aid and encourage our clients to:

  • Gain knowledge and skills to enhance their employability and quality of life.
  • Participate in community development and lifelong learning activities.

To achieve this, our team will assist you to access second to none training provision enabling you to plan for your future.

Racial Equity

DCFA's projects are shaped by the following systemic challenges within the Black community in Dudley:

-Understanding the barriers of institutional racism
-Economic disparities
-Social exclusion

DCFA continue to deliver and develop holistic strategies that address the ongoing community experiences of inequalities in education, employment, leadership development, and financial empowerment. Tackling Economic & Employment Inequalities, and limited access to IT skills, prevent many from securing sustainable careers. Our programmes provide accredited training, digital literacy workshops, and industry-specific skills development, ensuring participants are work-ready and competitive in the job market.
